31. července 1933 se narodil Cees Nooteboom (vlastním jménem Cornelis Johannes Jacobus Maria Nooteboom), nizozemský prozaik, básník, cestopisec a esejista. Tento nositel řady literárních cen a čestný člen Americké asociace moderních jazyků (Modern Language Association of the United States of America) je často nominován na Nobelovu cenu za literaturu.
